Virlanie Foundation marks 18th year with addition of L'Envol Home

Marking a milestone in their 18th year, Virlanie Foundation recently announced the addition of  L’Envol Home to their 12  existing homes for street children. The announcement was made at the Leyte Room of the Sofitel Philippine Plaza.
L’Envol will be a home for Virlanie’s young adults (age 18-21 who are former street children) as they prepare to move on to independent living outside the Foundation. Virlanie’s Founder and President Dominique Lemay and the Consul General of Monaco to the Philippines, Fortune Ledesma, gave brief backgrounds about the programs that Virlanie Foundation has done in the past and also introduced L’Envol, which is French for “to ascend, to take flight”.
Both Dominique and Consul Ledesma spoke of their fervor in helping those in need, especially homeless children with no families. Mr. Lemay talked about the reason why he started the Virlanie Foundation, how he loved and treated each child as his own and tried to make sure that children in the  Philippines  are well cared for.
“The Princess shares Dominique’s passion in helping the Filipino children that’s why she continues supporting every program of the Virlanie Foundation.” said Consul Ledesma, representing the royalty of Monaco, who through AMADE Foundation supports some of Virlanie Foundation’s programs and homes. “On their 18th year, Princess Caroline extends her greeting and well wishes to the foundation and to the rest of the Filipino children.”
For the past 18 years, the Foundation has worked on giving back the smile to the street children of the  Philippines .On July 17th, the Virlanie will commemorate these 18 wonderful years, celebrating its commitment and thanking supporters while appealing to Filipinos, and expats living in the Philippines to care a little bit more for street children.  The 18th anniversary fundraising celebration will be held at the Sofitel’s Harbour Garden.  The event is co-presented by Sofitel and is supported by Data One Asia, M Lhuillier, XPO Logistics, Forsc Ink, B&C Creatives, Geiser Maclang Marketing Communications, Inc., Philippine Daily Inquirer and Philippine Tatler.  Proceeds of the event will go to funding the operations of the L’Envol Home.
